About Us

We are a family-run practice that has been running for over 25 years who initially started as Tuckton Chiropody Centre at number 136 Tuckton Road, right next door to Tuckton Barber’s before moving on to our present location. After moving, we rebranded to Tuckton Podiatry Centre. After Covid-19 hit, we had many a discussion about modernising ourselves, and in 2022 we decided to rebrand again and change our name to Tuckton Foot Clinic.

Our Mission & Vision

So you might be wondering why our logo has three feet in it? It’s our name in literal translation from the German Language… Eins (1), Zwei (2), Drei (3) and Fuß (fuss) as in Fußball foot double s or Eszett to give it its proper name.

We welcome all into our practice, whether you have health conditions or impairments, or are just shy or nervous; we understand not everyone likes feet so pop in for a chat and see how we can help you.

Meet The Team

Sheila Dreifuss

Podiatrist & Clinic Partner

Hi I’m Sheila, I am married to Lawrence and I’d like to think we are the longest still married couple who work together. I openly admit to all that I am a lover of the colour purple, which is a prominent colour throughout our practice and I have a mind filled with useless facts. I am always up for a laugh, a chat, a glass of wine and coffee. I am also a mum to Nathan who avoided working in the family business (instead work for Amazon in South Wales) and a grandma (or the welsh translation Mam-Gu, which is pronounced Mam-Ghee) to Ollie.

I love to read and I am learning how to crochet very slowly – I wish I had more time to cross stitch and felting with our own felt being mass produced from dog fluff. I also work with local guinea pig rescue and Every Paw Matters which is a local charity for homeless and pre-loved dogs

Lawrence Dreifuss

Podiatrist, Head of the Gait Lab & Clinic Partner

Hello I’m Lawrence, I am the other half of the partnership. I have a keen interest in biomechanics and work the majority of the time in our Gait Lab. On a weekly basis, I like to participate in trial running, and I am a member of the ‘2353 Trail Runners’; as a keen runner myself, I can sympathise with the frustrations of injury but also understand the need to run.

I am also a keen gardener, and have recently started keeping tropical fish so if anyone wants to discuss phosphate levels then I’m your man.

Gina Hayter

Receptionist & Admin Assistant

Hi i’m Gina, my duties at Tuckton Foot Clinic include answering and manning the phones as well as any email correspondence that comes in. I also help manage the admin for Lawrence’s Gait lab as well as working the front desk greeting customers, cleaning all
medical instruments and wrangler of the office tech (i.e. printers!).

I am also a mum of two, and in my spare team I am on a local pub quiz team, and a massive lover of all things music and film. No, not Julie, but the other one…

Julie Smith

Receptionist

Hi I’m Julie! I have similar duties to Gina (i.e answering the phones, responding to emails and greeting patients at the front desk), I also sort out the booking of Care Home Visits and manage the admin for the podiatry clinic.

Like Sheila, I am also involved with the dog and homeless charity Every Paw Matters, and I am currently fostering a french bulldog. I love to watch Strictly Come Dancing on a Saturday Night, visiting multiple theatres to see many shows; my favourite being Mamma Mia!

Chloe Colmer

Accounting Secretary & Head of Social Media

Hello I’m Chloe! I work from home in Wales and I am the accounting secretary and head of all things social media related here at Tuckton Foot Clinic! My roles include sorting out the accounts and running our social media platforms; Facebook and Instagram.

I am a mother to Ollie, fiancé to Nathan and soon to be daughter-in-law to Sheila and Lawrence! When I’m not wedding planning and have some free time when Ollie is asleep, you will find me reading books and binge watching multiple TV shows such as Bridgerton or Bluey. I also love spending time exploring National Trust properties, walking our dog Lola, and cooking new recipes.

Max & Rex Dreifuss

Emotional Support Dogs

Often referred to as ‘Moo’ or ‘Mr Floof’ you may see us in the practice from time-to-time. We love antlers, nylabones and the remains of cremé fraiche/ yoghurt pots. Our favourite pastimes are watching the pigeons and squirrels in the garden or barking for no reason. We also love going for walks, visiting the pub, and having lots of cuddles.
